JUSTIN BIEBER SUED BY FORMER BODYGUARD WHO CLAIMS ABUSE
Billboard.com ran an article on Jan. 11, 2013 about a high-profile case Heimanson & Wolf filed against Canadian pop star Justin Bieber and his touring company. The lawsuit, on behalf of Bieber’s former bodyguard Moshe Benabou, claims Benabou is owed more than $420,000 in overtime and other pay and that Bieber assaulted Benabou during a dispute in October.
According to the article, Bieber repeatedly punched Benabou in the chest during an argument about the handling of a member of the pop star’s entourage.
“For nearly two years Mr. Benabou devoted himself completely to ensuring Mr. Bieber’s personal safety,” Ilan Heimanson, wrote in a statement released to the media. “Mr. Benabou deserved, as does any employee, to be treated with respect, dignity and in accordance with the law. Unfortunately, he was not.”
