Cyclist Accident Resolved With Mid-Six Figure Settlement. Our client is an experienced cyclist. One morning, while riding his bicycle in Los Angeles, he was struck by a truck driver who made a left turn directly in front of him. According to one witness, the truck driver continued to drive for another 20 to 30 feet after striking the cyclist. The truck driver was cited for failing to yield for the cyclist. Our client lost consciousness after striking the truck. He sustained a facial laceration, a shoulder contusion, post-concussion syndrome, and abrasions and road rash on his legs and thighs. The cyclist’s laceration developed into a scar, and a plastic surgeon reported that he would need a scar revision in the future. We were able to resolve the case with a mid-six figure settlement for our client. We wish our client all the best in his future.
Our client, a professional big-rig driver, was struck by a passing van when he was unloading his tractor trailer, and while in the course and scope of his employment. He suffered an acute open tibia-fibula fracture, transverse process fractures of the lumbar spine, a large right flank hematoma, and multiple abrasions.
